TWO TRAININGS. ONE JOURNEY.
Our Sri Lanka training is divided into Level 1 and Level 2, with each training taking place over 3.5 days.
You can join us for Level 1 only, Level 2 only if you have completed the relevant foundations, or immerse yourself in the complete seven-day training by joining us for both.
Each level is designed to build your knowledge, confidence and ability to teach Yin Yoga in a way that honours the individual needs of the people in front of you.
Our home for the training features a rooftop yoga shala, swimming pool, communal living spaces and co-working area, creating a space where we can learn together, practise together and slow down between sessions.
Our days will begin early and finish at 4pm, leaving your afternoons and evenings free to surf, swim, explore the local beaches, book a massage, visit Hiriketiya or simply relax by the pool.

WHAT A DAY LOOKS LIKE
Each training day runs from approximately 7am–4pm.
We’ll begin each morning together in our rooftop shala with a 90-minute guided practice, moving from Yang into Yin.
Beginning with movement gives us an opportunity to experience the relationship between these two energies within our own bodies before moving into the quieter practices of Yin.
After practice, we’ll share brunch together before moving into our workshops, lectures, discussions and practical teaching sessions for the day.
By 4pm, our formal training is complete.
The rest of the day is yours.
Walk to the beach.
Go surfing in Hiriketiya.
Book an Ayurvedic massage.
Explore the south coast.
Swim in the pool.
Work from the villa.
Or simply rest.
The intention is to create a training that feels spacious enough for you to learn and integrate, rather than rushing from one session to the next.
LEVEL 1 - FOUNDATIONS OF YIN
Level 1 establishes the foundations of Yin Yoga and begins to change the way you understand the body, stillness and the role of the teacher.
You will learn about the principles and origins of Yin Yoga, functional anatomy, fascia and connective tissue, tension versus compression, individual skeletal variation, foundational Yin postures, the use of props and modifications, and how to begin holding a safe and supportive space.
You’ll learn to move away from the idea that there is one "correct" expression of a posture and instead understand how to help each student find a shape that works for their individual body.
We’ll explore trauma-aware and inclusive teaching, the power of your voice, when to guide and when to allow silence, and how to develop a teaching style that feels authentic to you.
We’ll also begin exploring the energetic foundations of Yin, including the Five Elements and an introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
LEVEL 2 - THE ART OF TEACHING YIN & MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Level 2 takes the foundations deeper, exploring how we bring everything together to create meaningful, intelligently sequenced Yin experiences.
We’ll dive further into Traditional Chinese Medicine, the meridian system and Horary Body Clock, as well as energetic and seasonal sequencing, acupressure, sound, class theming and the art of holding space.
We’ll also explore myofascial release and the Anatomy Trains, developing a deeper understanding of how fascia connects different areas of the body and influences movement, mobility and sensation.
Through practical workshops, you’ll learn how to use massage balls to roll along different myofascial lines and how to thoughtfully incorporate these techniques into your Yin Yoga sequencing.
Rather than treating myofascial release as something separate from the practice, we’ll explore how rolling, Yin postures, breath and stillness can be intentionally sequenced together to bring greater awareness to particular areas of the body.
You’ll learn how to create classes that feel like complete journeys rather than simply a collection of postures - planting an intention at the beginning of a practice and allowing it to weave naturally through your sequencing, language, breath, stillness and closing.
Here, education, adventure and reflection exist side by side, allowing connection, rest, and self-discovery to unfold.

YOUR FACILITATORS
Mikey
Mikey is an E-RYT 500hr yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, and sound healing practitioner with international experience teaching classes, workshops, retreats, ceremonies, and teacher trainings.
Mikey’s teaching is rooted in presence, embodiment, nervous system awareness, and trauma-informed facilitation. His approach to Yin Yoga weaves together functional anatomy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, emotional awareness, meditation, and sound to create practices that are both grounded and deeply felt.
With a background in music, sound healing, breathwork, Mikey brings a unique depth to the Yin Yoga space, blending education with atmosphere, structure with intuition, and stillness with transformation.
Jordan Moore
Jordan has been teaching yoga and Pilates across the Mornington Peninsula for the past eight years, with a particular passion for Yin Yoga, functional anatomy and creating practices that honour the individuality of every body.
With a background in dance and further studies in Remedial Massage and Myofascial Release, Jordan brings a strong understanding of the body into her teaching.
She loves exploring the relationship between fascia, mobility and movement, incorporating myofascial release techniques and massage balls into her Yin practices to help students develop greater awareness of their own bodies.
At the heart of Jordan’s teaching is the belief that there is no single “right” way for a posture to look. Rather than asking students to fit their bodies into a shape, she teaches from a functional anatomy lens, encouraging curiosity, individual variation and an understanding of how each posture feels and functions within the person practising it.
Jordan and co-facilitator Mikey have a shared passion for creating immersive learning experiences that combine education, practice, travel, retreat and community.
Jordan’s intention is to help teachers understand the body more deeply, trust their own teaching voice and create spaces where students feel seen, supported and empowered to listen to their own bodies.
